Sagebrush Bee
Our third penny bee and created in 2021 for a two year showing in Nevada at the City of Sparks Art Walk. Sagebrush Bee is covered in almost 5,000 pennies and stands on florets of sagebrush which is the state flower of Nevada.
We are pleased to bring a sculpture to a city that is a stepping stone to the Burning Man, Black Rock desert. Sagebrush Bee is part of the first cycle of art being presented in in the downtown entertainment district.
The Bee is now in the private collection of master beekeeper Bob Silverstein and our volunteer Susan Kamman.
